Mid-Ulster MLA Sandra Overend, has condemned recent anti-social behaviour in Moneymore, after a car was found burned out in the village.
Mrs Overend who is a candidate in the Westminster election said ‘anti-social behaviour is unacceptable and must be condemned by any right thinking individual’.
“No matter what motivation the perpetrators may have had, this type of crime is not the answer, and such reckless actions only serve to put innocent members of the public at risk.
“Residents of Moneymore are understandably concerned, and the last thing they want is this type of anti-social behaviour to escalate further.
“I would call on anyone with any information about the incident to contact the PSNI on 101 or anonymously call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
