'Castle and Key' on a roll

THE first practice of the new 'The Castle and Key' Corps of Drums took place in Woodburn Orange Hall on Thursday.

The corps, which is associated to the Royal Anglican Regiments, has already been offered work including a trip to Italy.

The Castle and Key’ is also associated to the Corps of Drums Society and there is the opportunity to feature at the Lord Mayor’s Show in Liverpool, the Worthing Carnival Parade and The Lord Mayor’s Show in London.

The next practice session is this evening (Thursday) from 7.30pm until 9.30pm and new members from the age of 12 upwards are welcome. Flute players/buglers and drummers/buglers are needed and all members will be taught to read music.
