THREE of Ireland’s greatest country singers Brendan Quinn, Gloria and Ray Lynam will be joining forces to perform at the Woods Parish Centre.
These three country legends, who have had dozens of hit records between them will play a number of selected venues around Ireland this spring.
Brendan Quinn has been at the top of the country music tree since he first burst onto the scene in 1971 with ‘It’s 4 In The Morning, followed by ‘Behind Closed Doors’, ‘Bandy The Rodeo Clown’, ‘Daddy’s Little Girl’, ‘Angeline’ right up to his very latest ‘The Glory of true love’ last year, a recording career of over 40 yrs.
Ray Lynam first hit the scene in 1971 when he and the Hillbillies released ‘Gipsy Joe and Me’. The song became a huge hit, the first of many.
Gloria has been singing from a very young age and first came to prominence singing with Johnny Mac Avoy’s band.
She had a huge hit with Kris Kristofferson’s ‘One Day at a Time’ which changed her life completely. The song reached number one and stayed there for weeks on end. Gloria has a bubbly personality and is a real live wire on stage
All these artists will be backed by a full country band, this special concert will take place on Friday 30 March at Woods Parish Centre, Ballyronan Road, Magherafelt.
