A teenager from county Derry has appeared in court accused of attempting to murder his father.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named because of his age, is charged with attempting to murder his father on June 10.
An investigating officer told Derry Magistrates Court she believed she could connect the defendant to the charge.
During a brief hearing, the teen spoke only to confirm that he understood the charge.
A defence solicitor said there was no application for bail at this time, as the teen does not have a suitable bail address.
The 17-year-old was remanded in custody to appear in Magherafelt court via videolink on Wednesday, June 15.
