College recital hits all the right notes
Parents and friends packed out the assembly hall at Carrickfergus College recently for the school’s annual recital.
The recital is a chance for aspiring musicians to perform in front of an audience, some of them for the first time.
The event is also a chance for the GCSE Music class to get a ‘dress rehearsal’ before their performance pieces are moderated by an external examiner.

Hide AdThe night saw a wide range of acts ranging from violin quartets to a rock band, with teachers even giving a performance of a popular show tune as the grand finale.
The school thanked Mrs Walters, Head of Music, and Mrs Irvine for all their organisation.
