‘Commendable’ exam results at Magherafelt High

ANOTHER set of commendable results were highlighted by principal of Magherafelt High School Mr Brian McCluskey.

He congratulated all of the young students who had performed so well in the recent A Level and As exams.

Hard work and dedication from both pupils and staff alike helped to generate a successful set of results.

At A2 Level he paid tribute to all students who had gained the grades needed to get into their chosen third level courses.

Of particular note were top students Luke Fullerton and Emma Murphy who both achieved 2As and 1B. Richard Quinn, Laura Smyth and Ceri Ann Stewart 2As and 1C. The vast majority are now moving onto Queen’s and the University of Ulster with some continuing their studies across the water in Britain.

Similarly at AS level results were also pleasing. Special mention is given to Emma Austin 2As, 1B, Kirsty McAllen 2As 1C, Gillian Steele A,B,C and Matthew Rea A,B and on course for a Distinction in Engeering.
