Cookstown police tell '˜diffing' boy racers '˜leave the donuts to us'

Police in Mid Ulster have promised to crackdown on boy racers in the Lough Shore area.

Cookstown PSNI have said they will seize vehicles involved in dangerous driving and notices served for any defects.

“Leave the donuts to us,” a Facebook post from the police read.

“By the way we have received an increasing amount of reports concerning rear wheel drive vehicles “diffing” in the Lough Shore area of Mid Ulster. Specifically at cross roads.

“We will be patrolling the area to try and deter this anti social behaviour. Folks please take care on our roads, show respect and courteously to all road users. Vehicle seizure notices will be served on any offences we detect.” Last year, police were forced to clamp down on boy racers in the Toome area after concerns from local residents.

Meanwhile, police have also revealed a series of thefts of vans in the Mid Ulster area.
