Cookstown schools joint Eco Garden blooming marvellous
This venture, involving the two schools has been made possible thanks to a grant of £2,000 from Mid Ulster Cars, Toyota which was shared between the two schools Eco teams earlier in the year.
Both Eco Teams have been working together over the last few months to develop the garden which aims to educate the younger generations to look after and protect the environment and at the same time further develop the relationship between the two schools. The Eco garden has been developed on a piece of derelict land in the grounds of Cookstown High School as an outside classroom to learn about environmental issues as well as attracting wildlife, birds and butterflies.
Both Eco Teams are very grateful to Mid Ulster Cars, Toyota for their kind donation to this project.
