Council offices remain closed
Staff at Derry City Council offices on the Strand Road have been advised that they are not to turn up for work this morning as the army are continuing to examine a suspect device in the area.
Mayor, Councillor Kevin Campbell, hit out at those responsible for causing the disruption and encouraged those planning on coming in to the city later today to be part of the Culture Night celebrations to continue to do so.
The Council will provide a further update before lunchtime.
