Country concert success at Benraw

THE 'big country concert' held at Benraw last Friday night was voted the best ever by the huge crowd of country fans who packed into Benraw Orange Hall from seven o'clock.

By 7.45, the ‘House full’ signs were up, thanks to the popularity of names such as Boxcar Brian, Kenny Archer; Conor McKay, the Singing Brickie, Cowboy Larry from Radio Star fame , Kenny Minish and Stephen and Adam Priestly who sang Gospel songs.

The event was organised by Billy Maxwell and was hosted and compered by Leonard Shields who had everyone in stitches with his brand of humour and selection of jokes.
