Mr Lamont, who is currently residing at Knockbracken Healthcare Park in Belfast, replied “not guilty” after the two charges were put to him. The prosecution told Antrim Crown Court, sitting in Belfast, that the Crown were awaiting medical reports on behalf of the accused, which are expected at the end of this month.

Mr Judge Weir listed the case for further review on 21 February.
