Beauty spots are being put at risk by anti-social behaviour

Police say natural beauty spots are being put at risk due to anti-social behaviour in the Dungannon area.

It follows an incident in the forest area of Mullaghanagh Lane in the town last night when a fire was started.

"We were able to tackle it with an extinguisher and buckets of water from local residents but it doesn't bear thinking about if a fire takes a grip of this area," said Mid Ulster police in a social media post.

"Please educate your children, talk to your friends and we are upping our patrols of the area to tackle anti social behaviour. Let's work together to preserve these areas to be enjoyed by everyone!"
