Boy (12) stabbed, beaten and robbed by gang involved in two attacks

A 12-year-old boy was one of two children attacked by a gang of teenagers at the weekend.

Both boys were attacked and robbed in Craigavon, Co Armagh on Saturday afternoon.

The PSNI said a 12-year-old boy sustained a puncture wound to his arm in one of the attacks.

He was assaulted and robbed of ‘an electronic accessory’.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Detectives in Lurgan are investigating reports of two street robberies in the Tullygally and Brownlow areas of Craigavon on Saturday 17th October.

“Both incidents occurred between 4pm and 5pm and involved a group of teenage male youths targeting other male youths walking alone in the area.

“On both occasions items were taken from the victims with violence or the threat of violence used however neither sustained any serious injuries.

“Anyone with any information about these incidents or who may be able to help with the investigation, is asked to call detectives in Lurgan on the non-emergency number 101, or submit a report online using our non-emergency reporting form via http://www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/.
