Case of domestic violence dropped on day of contest at Dungannon court

The case against a 43-year-old man accused of a number of domestic violence offences has been dropped - the day it was due to be contested at court.

Artur Szymanski from Donaghmore Road, Dungannon had been accused of assaulting a female on February 29 this year, as well as damaging her CD player.

The case was listed for hearing at East Tyrone Magistrates Court last Wednesday, but a prosecution lawyer stated she would be offering no evidence.

District Judge John Meehan dismissed both charges.
