POLICE arrested a total of five people for suspected drink driving offences in the Mid-Ulster area.
A 31-year-old woman has been charged with a drink-drive offence after her arrest in Cookstown.
She was stopped at Milburn Road on Wednesday morning, December 28th, and charged to appear at Dungannon Magistrates’ Court on January 20.
Meanwhile, a 17-year-old woman was arrested for a suspected drink-driving offence at Tullagh Road, Cookstown, in the early hours of Thursday.
She was later released on bail pending further enquiries.
A car was seized on suspicion that it was being used without insurance in the same incident. A 70-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drinking and driving in Coalisland in the early hours of Christmas Day.
He is to appear at Dungannon Magistrates’ Court on January 13.
Meanwhile a 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a drink-drive offence at around 11am on Christmas Day He was released from custody pending further enquires.
And in a separate incident a 22-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of a drink-drive offence in Dungannon in the early hours of December 27.
She is to appear at Dungannon Magistrates’ Court on January 18.
