MOTORISTS are being advised that there will be restricted traffic arrangements in Cookstown in Co Tyrone on Tuesday, 6th, while the funeral of Prison Officer David Black takes place.
Routes affected will include the town centre between noon and 4pm.
The cortege will leave the family home at about 12.30pm to travel to Molesworth Presbyterian Church.
Traffic at William Street and James Street, the main thoroughfare, and at Molesworth Street will be halted to allow the cortege to make its way to the church from Orritor Road.
Following the service, similar restrictions will apply in the town centre while the cortege makes its way to Kildress Parish Church for interment.
Motorists approaching Kildress on the Drum Road (A505 Omagh road) are advised to exercise caution as the cortege will travel along the route for a short distance on its way to the church. Vehicles and pedestrians will also be on the road around the time of the interment.
Anyone intending to travel through Cookstown during the relevant periods, particularly if heading towards the international airport, are advised to allow extra time for their journey.
