THE GAA has said it is investigating after news that a football match honouring the lives of two IRA men is set to take place tomorrow.
The ‘Giants will Clash’ Harvey and McGlynn memorial cup match will see selected members from clubs around County Tyrone face a Donegal Select side at Ballybofey’s McCumhaill Park.
It is being held in memory of Donegal IRA men Seamus Harvey and Gerard McGlynn.
Mid-Ulster MLA Ian McCrea said the event must bestopped from happening on GAA and urged the gaelic organisation to move on the issue. A spokesperson for Ulster GAA told the MAIL: “Ulster GAA is currently looking into this issue so there is no comment at this time.”
