Glenavy war memorial damaged in paint bomb attack

POLICE are treating a paint attack on a war memorial in Glenavy this morning (Friday, November 16) as a hate crime.

Navy paint was thrown around all four sides of the memorial at Main Street as well as on a number of poppy wreaths.

Officers believe the incident may have occurred during the early hours of this morning. They are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the damage being caused or who has any other information that could assist the investigation.
