Grabbed former partner by hair

A Maghera man who grabbed his ex-partner by the hair, was placed on Probation for two years at Magherafelt Magistrates Court on Wednesday for common assault.

Neville Henderson (51), of Main Street, was also ordered to take part in courses such as anger management if recommended by his supervising officer.

The court heard the assault happened on December 29 last and the case had been adjourned for a pre-sentence report.

A defence lawyer said the couple were now living separate lives and had very little contact.
