Local businesses receive leading Bridal Awards

SEVERAL businesses from Cookstown have taken home accolades in the prestigious 2012 Getting Married in Northern Ireland Reader Awards.

The Reader Awards, sponsored by Belleek Living is considered a landmark event in the calendars of the province’s wedding industry experts.

Nearly 300 guests gathered for the presentation of the awards at a glamourous ceremony in the Ramada Hotel, Shaw’s Bridge, Belfast on Saturday 10th November 2012.

Local business that received awards included: Bramble Bride (5th Best Bridal Retailer), Red (Runner Up, Best Groomswear) Flower For All Occasions, The Rock, (2nd Runner Up, Best Florist), Juice, (Runner Up, Best Entertainer), D&K The Jeweller (Winner, Best Jeweller). Tullylagan Country House (4th Best Venue), Jills Cakes, Moneymore (5th, Best Wedding Cake) CFC Interiors (Runner Up, Best Gift List) Posh Pans (4th, Best Gift List), D&K The Jeweller (Runner Up, Best Handmade Jeweller), O-Two hair & Beauty (5th, Best Bridal Hair Stylist), Debonair (Winner, Best Groomswear), Swift Chair Covers, Moneymore (Winner, Best Finishing Touches).

The awards were presented by Cool FM’s DJ Sonya Mac, special master of ceremonies for the evening.

The top three finalists in each category received a beautifully crafted porcelain trophy from the evening’s main sponsor, Belleek Living, along with a framed certificate.

The Reader Awards take place each year, with brides voting over a 12-month period for the businesses which they felt offered a top-class professional service that really added to their wedding day.
