A motorist caught travelling at 80mph on the Moneymore Road carriageway, Cookstown, was fined £115 at Magherafelt Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

A motorist caught travelling at 80mph on the Moneymore Road carriageway, Cookstown, was fined £115 at Magherafelt Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Andrzes Palalzkowski (40), of Molesworth Street, Cookstown, also received three penalty points.

Prosecuting counsel said the offence was detected on the carriageway, which is restricted to 60mph, on December 15 last year.

Deputy District Judge Noel Dunlop gave the defendant ten weeks to pay the penalties.
