Packed line-up of Christmas events for Holy Trinity Primary

PUPILS and staff at Holy Trinity Primary School are busy getting ready for a packed programme of Christmas events.

The line-up of events include primary five and six shows on the 18th and 19th December in St Brigid’s Parochial Centre. Tickets for both events are on sale from the school’s general office.

The Nursery and primary one children will take to the stage on 11th, 12th, 17th and 18th December to present their nativity plays.

These nativity plays are often the highlight of the school year and attract large crowds to the school.

The school choir under the direction of Mrs Slater and Mrs Lynch are already extremely busy.

Their first engagement was at the school’s hugely successful Christmas Fair on Sunday 2nd December organised by the parent support group the Family and Friends of Holy Trinity Primary.

The choir sang a medley of Christmas Carols to the delight of the large audience in attendance.

The Choir will soon be joining up with their counterparts in Cookstown Primary to perform at a major business charity event in Glenavon House Hotel on Friday 7th December.

The Joint choir will again provide the lead for the Annual Cookstown in Harmony event on Friday 14th December which brings together primary seven children from schools across the district in a feast of Christmas music and song. Cookstown in Harmony is being hosted this year by Holy Trinity Primary. Also taking to the stage this Christmas will be the newly formed Primary Four Choir in their new choir uniforms.

First up, however, is the school’s Open Day on Monday 10th December from 2.00pm to 4.00pm.

Prospective parents wishing to apply for places in nursery/primary are invited to come along to the school on the day. There will be an opportunity to meet staff and see the excellent facilities on offer in Cookstown’s oldest and largest school.
