Police appeal after man injured in Magherafelt ‘hit and run’


Police are appealing for information after a man was injured in a ‘hit and run’ in Magherafelt.

It is understood the man suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision on the Coolshinney Road on September 20 at 12.10pm.

In particular, they are trying to trace a dark Peugot 206 that may have been in the area.

Const. Denver Kincaid said: “A man was knocked down by a vehicle in a laneway at around 12.10am on September 20th.

“The man sustained minor injuries as a result but police are keen to identify the driver.

“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who noticed anything, particularly a dark coloured vehicle, possibly a Peugeot 206 seen in the area around this time.
