Police in burglary appeal

Detectives in Ballymena are appealing for information following the report of a number of burglaries in the Ballymena area on Wednesday, 2 January.

At approximately 6.05pm Police received a report that a male entered a house in the Old Grange Avenue area and stole a sum of money. The intruder was disturbed by the occupant of the house and he made off from the scene.

At y 6.35pm Police were told that another house in the Old Grange Avenue area had been entered and the house was ransacked. It is not known at this stage if anything has been stolen.

At approximately 6.40pm Police received a report that a house in the Old Cullybackey Road area of Ballymena had been entered and ransacked. It is not known at this stage if anything has been stolen.

Detectives would ask anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity at these locations or anyone who has any information to contact them at Ballymena on 0845 600 8000.
