Police are urging people across Mid Ulster to beware after a man was reported to be selling fake Samsung Galaxy S6 mobile phones in the Moneymore area.
PSNI Magherafelt said it had received a report on December 26.
It is understood the phones are passable as the real thing, but do not work.
A statement said: “We have received a report recently of a man in the Moneymore area attempting to sell fake Samsung Galaxy S6 mobile phones on Facebook.
“The phones are passable in appearance but do not work and are not a genuine product.
“We would ask everyone to exercise extreme caution when making non-store purchases and would appeal to anyone with suspicions of fraudulent activity to report it to police immediately on 101.”
