POLICE are warning quad owners to make sure their vehicles are secure after an increase of thefts in rural areas of Tyrone and Fermanagh.
In the latest incident a £3,500 Honda 420 quad was stolen from the Bencran Road, Beragh.
Police are urging owners to take steps to secure quads when they are not being used.
A spolice spokesperson said: “Always lock quads away when they are not being used, and never leave the keys in the ignition.
“Local Crime Prevention Officers can give detailed advice on devices that can be used to secure quads to a concrete floor or other immovable objects.
“They can also advise on quad and trailer-marking initiatives that are in the pipeline,” said the police spokesperson.
