Thirty-two-year-old Ryan Desmond Connolly from Coagh Crescent, also faces a charge of attempted criminal damage of a police vehicle in the vicinity of Coagh Crescent on May 6.

Connolly faces a third charge of using a public electronic network to send a message of a menacing character on May 5.

A defence lawyer told East Tyrone Magistrates Court, sitting in Dungannon, on Friday that given the defendant’s record a pre-sentence report may be of benefit to the court in dealing with the matter.

Adjourning the case until August 20, Deputy District Judge Sean O’Hare told the lawyer to ensure Connolly attended appointments with the Probation Service and cooperated with them.
