Sisters robbed

THREE elderly Tobermore sisters have been left traumatised after they were held prisoner while thieves robbed their home.

The sisters, aged 78, 76 and 70 were targeted by the robbers at their home in Clooney Road on Monday.

Four men went into the women’s home at around 10pm. Police said they were rounded up and held prisoner while the men ransacked the house.

It wasn’t clear last night what the masked raiders made off with.

Magherafelt UUP councillor George Shiels said: “It’s terrible that elderly people are targeted like this. I hope the police get the people who did this out of commission.”
