PUPILS at Sperrin Integrated College marked the school’s 10th anniversary with yet another set of excellent examination results for the 2011/2012 academic year.
This year’s achievements reflected the wealth of talent and ability of the pupils and displayed the high standards of learning and teaching within the school.
All pupils worked extremely hard with many achieving A* grades.
Amongst the highest achievers was Niamh Sheeky, who achieved four ‘A’ levels; three A grades and one B.
In September Niamh will be commencing a degree course in Radiography at the University of Ulster.
Sperrin student Ryan Murphy achieved three A grades of which two were A*.
Ryan will begin a degree course in Journalism at the University of Ulster next month. Sixth former Pearse McFlynn also achieved top grades, with three A grades including one A*.
Pearse will be reading Law at Queen’s University.
Commenting on the school’s principal continuing success Alastair Rowan, said: “I am delighted with the results and that our pupils success can be contributed to a number of factors.
These include excellent teaching across all subject areas, the high level of pastoral support and of course the hard work and dedication of our pupils.
He added: “As an integrated school our staff are very achievement focused, with a high level of aspiration for all students, coupled with parental support proves a winning formula for our continued success.”
