The community of Tobermore is said to be “outraged” after a gang of drunk teens, who were thought to be drinking at the village’s tennis courts, left a trail of destruction behind them.
Pictures submitted to the Mail show how nets at the new £80k tennis courts were pulled down over night, while a pile of empty drinks bottles were left behind.
A local man has hit out at the damage.
He said: “Young ones have gone on drunken wrecking spree on Tobermore’s new £80,000 tennis courts.
“These are well used by all of Tobermore and surrounding area.
“As a community rep my heart’s broke seeing this damage this morning.
“The entire village is outraged by this (and) a lot are giving off about 14 and 15-year-olds being served alcohol.
When asked if the culprits hung out in the area most nights, he went on to say that a group of teenagers of around 10 teenagers has been gathering there most nights since summer started.
Police say they have not been aware of the incident yet.
