A female service station attendant held at knife point on Tuesday night by a teenager who robbed her then fled on a BMX, said she has been left traumatised by the incident.
The woman, who does not want to be identified, explained how she was just getting ready to close Hilltop Service Station on Chapel Street before 10pm, when the youngster came into the shop.
She explained how he made his way round the whole shop before approaching her with the knife and ordering her to open the till.
He then took all of the £20 notes, she said.
“The knife had a straight blade, but was very sharp - it was awful,” she added.
The young man, who is said to walk with a limp was wearing a red hoody and black tracksuit bottoms, had a scarf covering his face.
Police are appealing for anyone who knows who this might be to call them on 101.
