Cullybackey WI hold agm

The September meeting of Cullybackey Women’s Institute took the form of members’ annual general meeting.

President Betty Kyle welcome the gathering especially Eileen Mol as chairperson for the evening and tellers, Margaret Logan and Diane Murdock.

Two new members, Joan Byers and Elizabeth Patterson, were also introduced and welcomed.

Following voting, the new committee were announced as - Ann Bamber, Miriam Carleton, Rosemary Courtney, Alison Hill, Kathleen Kennedy, Rosemary Kennedy, Wilma Lamont, Sheena Livingstone, Frances Loughridge, Phyllis McIlroy, Elizabeth McIlroy, Joan McKibben, Nessa Stewart, Violet Williams and Eileen Wylie.

Eileen Wylie was elected as the new president.

Myrna Douglas was the winner of the Competition Cup with Eleanor McIlroy second and Joan Mercer and Ruth Orr joint third. Kathleen Kennedy and Hazel Kernohan were birthday girls.
