‘Dander for Dad’ raises £2k for Alzheimer’s Society

Participants in the ‘Dander for Dad’ fundraiser on June 27 have raised over £2000 for the Alzheimer’s Society.

The event, which covered over 13 miles from Belfast to Carrick, was organised by Abigail Henry in memory of her late father, James.

“Roy Norrie, our lifelong friend made a surprise visit for the walk from South Africa,” said Abigail. “We met further family and friends at Seapark, Carrickfergus who joined us for the remainder of the walk to dad at Victoria Cemetery.

“It was a beautiful day shared with family and friends. We have raised over £2000; Dad would be so proud of us.”
