THE memory of a young Derrytresk camog, who died after battling leukaemia, will be honoured with a series of events this Saturday.

The tenth annual Derrytresk Vintage Rally gets underway at 2pm as friends, family and club mates of Aine Hughes gather to remember the popular and much loved teenager.

Aine passed away ten years ago, but her memory lives on through this yearly event hosted by Derrytresk Cailin an Chnoic.

As well as the Vintage Rally, the club has organised Go Games Camogie events for U-6, U-8 and U-10 age groups from 10am to 12.30pm, as well as Group Games and a charity match between Derrytresk and Ulster Select, which takes place at 6pm.

An Over-40s Re-Match will be held at 7.30pm when Derrytresk take on Maghery.

In the evening, a Junior Quiz will be held at 6.30pm, followed by music in Derrytresk Club, starting at 9pm.

All proceeds from the events will go towards supporting the work of the charity CLIC Sargent.

The organisers have welcomed as many people as possible to come along and enjoy the day. More details can be found on the club’s Facebook page.
