Detectives appeal for help after second armed robbery in Magherafelt

DETECTIVES in Magherafelt are appealing for information following another armed robbery in the town.

The latest happened at a shop on King Street last Saturday night - a short distance from a similar incident at a petrol station on Church Street last Tuesday.

Police say just before 7pm a man entered the shop armed with a knife and made off with a sum of money.

He is described as being approximately 6ft tall, of slim build, aged in his 20s, and was wearing a blue fleece, black gloves and a black scarf over his face.
