Developing interests through Extended Schools Clubs at Bushvalley PS

ANOTHER term has finished at Bushvalley PS and everyone has certainly been busy!

Extended schools activities in this term alone have seen Year 4 having swimming lessons in the Joey Dunlop Leisure Centre and Key Stage One enjoying a Story Sacks Club. Key Stage Two pupils created gastronomique delights in cookery club, and developed computer skills in ICT club. Year 7 pupils completed an emergency life support programme and were awarded with “Hearststart UK” certificates. Evening activities included keep fit for the local community led by Shirley Jackson.

Children were also given the opportunity to extend and develop their learning at with Reach for the Stars Numeracy and Literacy Clubs at Key Stage 2 and Maths on a Misson in Key Stage One. Children who attended these clubs regularly were awarded with swimming and horse riding vouchers.
