‘Do your part’ to support Ulster In Bloom - Overend

ULSTER Unionist Assembly Member Sandra Overend has expressed her well wishes to the towns and villages in Mid-Ulster which have been entered in Translink’s Ulster in Bloom Competition

“I am delighted to learn that four towns and villages across Mid-Ulster have been been entered in Translink’s Ulster in Bloom Competition which runs from 2nd July to 17th August 2012. The Mid-Ulster entrants are as follows: Cookstown, Ballyronan, Moneymore and Tobermore,” said the Mid-Ulster member

“The Ulster in Bloom competition is a fantastic opportunity for the people in these towns or villages in Mid Ulster to showcase their horticultural prowess and take pride in displaying their home in the best possible way.

“The competition serves to improve and brighten local built environments by encouraging all to engage their inner gardener, in this way our towns and villages will be made more visually appealing and hopefully encourage more people to stop and explore the many offerings available.

“This competition annually attracts a multitude of entries and so the winners are certainly faced with a difficult task. I encourage all local residents to do their part and lend a hand to keep hedges trimmed, gardens tidy and everywhere litter-free.”
