Dog put down after Coleraine attack

Police have appealed for information after a dog belonging to a Coleraine pensioner had to be put down after an attack.

The Jack Russell dog called ‘Busker’, was attacked in the Maple Drive area between the hours of 6am and 10am on Sunday.

Unfortunately Busker failed to recover from his injuries and has since been put down by the Vet.

The injuries are believed to have been caused by a blunt object, possibly a hammer.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have information in relation to this offence.
