Drama school show is a class act

The evening’s entertainment began with a light-hearted, poetic performance of the ‘Tribes United’ written Richard Morris.

The Academy’s youngest performers, aged 4-8, delighted family and friends with this creative, physical telling of a tale full of larger than life characters all played to perfection.

The Upper Primary class, aged 9 – 11, continued proceedings as they enraptured the audience with an abstract and highly entertaining performance of ‘The Nobodies’ by Jon Boustead.

Last but by no means least, the Youth Theatre class, aged 11 – 18, took to the stage with a thought-provoking rendition of ‘Pandemonium’ written by Jonny Arden.

During the awards ceremony following the performances when all students received certificates, medals and trophies for their achievements, Lisa Semple, Executive Principal of the Academy said: “It is a real joy to be able to celebrate the achievements of our wonderful students today.

“The Lisburn class has shown such superb development in their confidence and drama skills.

“The shows today have been fantastically entertaining and have given the young people an opportunity to experience some of the razzmatazz of the theatre as well as demonstrating their new-found and freshly honed talents.”
