McCrystal Opticians, Dungannon have been shortlisted for the prestigious 2017 Optician Awards and are one of only six opticians in the UK in the frame for the coveted ‘Family Optician of the Year’ award.
McCrystal Opticians are the only representative from Northern Ireland to reach the Optician Awards final, which lists 16 award categories.
The influential Optician Awards has been established for over 20 years and is the highlight of the year for the Optical profession, attracting the UK’s most talented Opticians, teams and companies.
Optometrist, Noel McCrystal is delighted that his practice has been recognised for its commitment to exceptional family eye-care.
“My staff and I are very proud to reach the final of the ‘Family Optician of the Year’ category and to be the only contender from Northern Ireland in the entire ceremony. We believe in delivering leading-edge family eyecare and excellence in clinical techniques, including pioneering visual solutions for children and adults with dyslexia and autism spectrum disorders (ASD). For over 20 years we have been privileged to welcome generations of families and are proud to be a valued part of community healthcare for the whole family, from children to grandparents.”
Mr McCrystal also believes that his dedicated staff are key to McCrystal Opticians success,
“Our friendly, knowledgeable team strive every day to make a real difference to families lives by delivering Northern Ireland’s most comprehensive range of specialist optometric services and products. We are looking forward with great anticipation to the final ceremony in April and we hope we can bring the ‘Family Optician of the Year’ award home to Dungannon.”
The ‘Family Optician of the Year’ award recognises and rewards a practice that not just appeals to families but also has family and community values at its heart. The judges will be looking for evidence of the exceptional ‘cradle to the grave’ care for successive generations and a practice that encourages the whole family to share and engage in eye care.
Chris Bennett, Editor, Optician Magazine said, “In all, around 50 judges had input on the entries this year and most commented on the quality and the professionalism of the submissions made. Congratulations to all who have been shortlisted and we can now turn our attention to the much-anticipated awards ceremony to find out who will win the coveted trophies. Good luck to all the finalists.”
The glittering Optician Awards ceremony will take place on Saturday 1st April at the Hilton Metropole Birmingham. Over 500 guests are expected to attend the black tie evening with the cream of the optics profession in attendance.
