Dunmurry cadets finish second in first-aid competition

Two cadets from Dunmurry, Martin Wilson and Scott Simpson, earned second place in the hard-fought Young Adult section of a first aid competition.

The prestigious annual Army Cadet Force Association First Aid competition testedthe skills of Cadets and their Adult Instructors.

Congratulating the pair, Colonel David McCleery OBE, Chairman of the Army Cadet Force Association (NI), said: “The skills which are earning Scott and Martin accolades today will certainly be of value to them throughout their lives and I commend them for the enthusiasm which they show for this valuable subject.

“Their grasp of First Aid is already extensive and is being passed on to teenage Cadets in Dunmurry, helping to spread understanding and knowledge of First Aid more widely.”
