Energy-saving resource for three schools

PUPILS and teachers at three Larne schools are set to benefit from a new online initiative aimed at inspiring people to become more energy-efficient.

Launched by the Environment Minister Alex Attwood, Operation Energy is a free resource packed with over 40 hours of activities, campaigns, games, lesson plans, videos and competitions to help schools become more environmentally friendly and secure the coveted Green Flag status.

The resource also includes a specially-dedicated zone for parents so that everyone in the family can help play their part in the ongoing quest to reduce energy use.
