Ex-clergyman court case

A PRELIMINARY Enquiry is due to go ahead on January 25 in the case of an ex-Methodist clergyman from Balnamore who is charged with possessing and making an indecent photo of children.

52-year-old William Alan Macaulay from Ballynacree Drive faces charges - that between April 23, 2010 and November 10, 2010, he had in his possession an indecent photograph or pseudo-photograph of children, and that, between the same dates, he made an indecent photograph or pseudo-photograph of children.

A defence lawyer told North Antrim Magistrates Court in Coleraine on Wednesday January 18 he has now been served with papers in the case so the preliminary enquiry can go ahead on January 25.
