Ex-DUPadvisor on voyeurism charge

A former DUP political advisor has been remanded on continuing bail on a charge of voyeurism.

David McConaghie (49) of Cottage Hill, Dollingstown, appeared in Craigavon Magistrates Court on Wednesday to face a charge that between January 1, 2012 and September 12, 2012 he installed equipment, or constructed or adapted a structure or part of a structure with the intention of enabling himself or another person to observe, for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification, a third person doing a private act.

The charge was put to him and a police officer said he could connect McConaghie to the charge

The bail terms state he is not allowed to contact any member of the DUP advice centre in Portadown by any means including social media. He is also not allowed to be in possession of a mobile phone.
