Fees for stalls
The council has approved plans to charge stall holders for use of two lay-bys in Market Street.
Up to six stalls could use the lay-bys which would be cordoned off on days traders wished to use them.

Hide AdThe Roads Service informed the council that on the days the areas were not used the lay-bys would revert to the normal restricted car parking.
The council's environmental services committee has approved the charging of a weekly fee of 10 for hire of market stalls, provided traders have appropriate insurance cover.
There are currently two stalls operated on Thursdays and Saturdays in Castle Lane. And another trader operates on Market Street on the same days according to the council minutes.
