Fultons store up for sale

THE administrator of Fultons Fine Furnishings, which has a store in Lurgan, has put the business up for sale.

The administrators, PwC, were appointed in July at the owners’ request and the company’s shops in Lurgan and Belfast have remained open.

PwC said it will consider selling each of the shops separately.

The business began in Lurgan over 50 years ago. It opened a Belfast operation in 1991 and moved to its new purpose-built premises in 2006.

PWC said the option also exists to lease the shops on a short or long-term basis.

It describes Fultons as a “well-known local retail brand with an established local customer base”.

It adds that the business serves a niche market with limited local competition and has continued strong sales.

The various Fulton activities also include a number of commercial and residential property interests and collectively employ a total of 41 people.
