I’m not here for the short haul’ - CI Reid
NEWTOWNABBEY’S new Police Commander has said he is not here for the “short haul” and has pledged his commitment to the borough for “as long as the organisation determines”.
Chief Inspector Stephen Reid was appointed Area Commander for Newtownabbey and Carrick on December 1. He is the third chief to take the Commander’s office at Newtownabbey PSNI station in the past year.
He told the Times: “I’m not here for the short haul. I am very much committed and will remain here as long as the organisation determines.”
