A major haul of cannabis - valued at £50,000 - has been seized in Magherafelt by police.
The searches linked to the PSNI’s Operation Torus - an initiative to tackle street-level drug dealing - were carried out last Saturday [March 21].
It comes less than a month after police uncovered £40,000 of the drug in Magherafelt. Read more here.
Sgt. Sam Young said officers also found gardening equipment in this latest seizure.
“Enquiries are ongoing , however we are investigating the possibility that this may be linked to possible cultivating activity.”
She added: “Police will continue to disrupt and detect those involved in the sale or production of drugs and would ask that if anyone notices any suspicious activity to their local Police on the 101 number.”
