Two houses were damaged in an arson attack at Magherafelt last night.

The fire in a garden at Piney Hill destroyed an oil tank, fencing and bins shortly after 10pm.

A woman resident in her 50s was not injured in the incident.

Detective Inspector William Tate said: “I would appeal to anyone with any information about this incident to contact detectives in Cookstown Police Station on the non emergency number 101.
