The theme for the celebrations will be “Reaching Out into the Community” and the organising team have already drawn up a selection of great events which will be of interest to parishioners, local people and people who may have left the area but may be interested in coming along to some of the events and activities.

With a number of flagship events planned throughout the year the organising team have already set dates for a Festival of Flowers taking place from May 8 to 10, 2015.

Working with the theme of Reaching Out the Londonderry Floral Arts Society will produce another of their fascinating displays.

There will also be celebratory booklet produced documenting some of the people and histories that came form the area over the past 200 years. The booklet will be launched at an exhibition of old photographs and memorabilia, not just of the church but of the wider area as well. To help make this event a success the church is asking people if they have any interesting stories, photographs or other memorabilia to contribute. All information will be returned promptly and handled with care.

Contact Geoffrey Kelly, Joeanne Kerr or Noelle Donnell via the parish offices on 028 7188 3545 for more information.
